Virat Kohli's injury is no less a blow for India and its cricket enthusiasts, for whom Champions Trophy 2025 will start in Pakistan on February 19. Virat Kohli conducted a warm-up lightly during the match day and shared a little with fellow players before India's first match in the series. After that, it seemed that Virat Kohli will make an appearance in India's playing XI, but when during the toss Rohit Sharma gave an update about Virat Kohli's injury and stated that he is out of India's playing XI, then cricket enthusiasts were shocked.

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma also did not reveal before the toss that Virat Kohli would not be able to play in the first ODI due to a knee problem. Yashasvi Jaiswal will make his debut for India in place of Kohli. This was almost decided on the night before the match when the captain called Shreyas Iyer. There is every possibility of him playing in Cuttack. Let us tell you that Virat Kohli has to go for a scan now and it will be interesting to see whether he goes to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru or goes straight to Cuttack with the team.
