Shahid said - first heard water called water in the dialogue 'Jal liye' of the film

Shahid Kapoor has completed 20 years in the film industry. Shahid Kapoor recently spoke on this occasion about his journey of 20 years with Radio Nasha. He also shared the experience of working in the film Vivah with director Sooraj Barjatya.
He said that since he grew up in a big city, he found it difficult to understand the director's vision for the film Vivah.
Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's film Vivah was released in 2006. It was one of the highest-grossing films of that year. The film earned around 13 crores worldwide.
Shahid Kapoor said that it was not easy for him to understand the setting of the film and during the shooting, he often used to think about what was happening. He said- Obviously I had read the script of the film.
Even after this, I could not understand what was going on on the set. In the film, even water was to be called water. I used to think why such things are happening. What is water, we just call it water in common language. First time I heard something like this.
Shahid Kapoor further said- After all this, there was an old man's voice in the film's songs. I used to think every moment on the set that how will I be able to do this. But I had a lot of respect for Suraj Ji, I still have it today.
That's why I kept on obeying his every word and you have already seen the result of what happened after that. He used to tell me to trust him and keep doing as I say.
Shahid Kapoor also said that when Vivah was released in 2006, films based on young people's life and college life were liked by Yaad Raj and Dharma Productions. Sooraj had taken the exact opposite subject in his film.
Shahid Kapoor said- Sooraj had made such a film which has its roots in the conservative thinking of society. But, he kept the tone of the film positive, and his formula worked.
Shahid further said- Sooraj knew that the audience keeping in mind he is making this film, and no content has come for a long time. This is his comfort zone and he has done a great job.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sooraj had told that he used to tease Shahid often during the shooting of Vivah. Suraj said- Shahid did not know anything about the arranged marriage. When the marriage was taking place, in the climax of the film, Shahid said why should I wear this turban? I said that if you have to wear it, he got angry. But, then he did everything in his marriage!
