Seven new names trademarked for Mahindra 5-door Thar, including Armada, Savannah among others

For your information, let us tell you that the seven names which Mahindra has trademarked are as follows: Armada, Cult, Rex, Roxx, Savannah, Gladius and Centurion. These will be used as suffixes to 'Thar' to denote the larger, 5-door body style.
ARMADA was originally introduced in the early 1990s as the brand's then-flagship product, specifically targeted at urban buyers. It was the predecessor to the Bolero, drawing direct design inspiration from the Jeep SUV and was a more premium option to the barebones Commander SUV of the time. The Armada was eventually replaced by the Bolero in 2001, which continues on sale to this day.
The vehicle manufacturer is going to present this Thar with a very powerful look. It was very good in off-roading. This car is going to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Jimmy 5 Door. You will get many powerful features inside it. It will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a sunroof. It is likely to retain the 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol engines, mated to the same 6-speed manual and auto gearboxes.
The 5-door Thar could be launched sometime in mid-2024. The price of this car could be between Rs 16 lakh and 20 lakh. But its price may be higher than the regular Thar.
