Sensex up over 800 points

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones of the US market closed at 40,563, up 1.39%. Nasdaq also rose 2.34%, closing at 17,594. S&P500 closed at 5,543 points, up 1.61%.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹ 17,565 crore on August 14. During this period, Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) bought shares worth ₹ 12,269 crore. That is, foreign investors sold on Wednesday. Yesterday, Thursday, the market was closed due to Independence Day holiday.
