Sensex breaks more than 600 points, Nifty also falls by about 200 points

The stock market is seeing a decline on the second trading day of the week, i.e. Tuesday (December 20). Sensex is trading near 61150 down more than 600 points. The Nifty is also down by around 200 points or 1.10%. It is trading for around 18200.
The Nifty PSU Bank index is down around 1.5%. Auto, FMCG, IT, Metal, Media and Realty indices also declined by more than 1%. Private Bank, Bank, and Pharma also fell by about 1%. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 28 declined. Only UltraTech Cement and Axis Bank gained marginally.

There is a shared allotment of Abans Holding and Landmark Cars IPO today. Apart from this, today is the second day of the IPO of Keffin Technologies. This IPO can be subscribed till 21 December 2022. The price band of this is Rs 347-366 per share.
The US market has declined for the fourth consecutive trading session. The Dow Jones closed down 163 points, or 0.49%, on the first day of the week. The Nasdaq was down 1.49% and the S&P 500 was down 0.90%. The Fed's commentary on interest rates has a negative impact on tech companies. Meta shares are down 4%.
The Indian market saw a boom on Monday, the first trading day of the week. This rally came after the fall of 2 consecutive trading days in the market. The Sensex closed at a level of 61,806 with a gain of 468 points. The Nifty rose 151 points to reach the level of 18,420. 24 out of 30 Sensex stocks saw gains.
