With a boost in the mechanism around the supply chain, like chemicals and gases used in producing electronic chips, India's semiconductor industry will be $40 billion by 2030.

The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association believes that India must learn from worldwide semiconductor hubs since it is a very complex technology. IESA President Ashok Chandak has stated that at least more than 10 countries are involved in making a chip. If we have to make making a chip successful in India, then the supply chain must be taken care of. He stated that the supply chain market in the entire world will be $420 billion by 2030. If we consider taking 10 percent of that as our share, then we will be at $40 billion.

According to the report, India will need about 15 lakh skilled and 50 lakh semi-skilled workers in the value chain by 2026-27. Roles like processing, equipment engineer, IC test engineer, and capacity planning manager are expected to be in high demand. In two to five years, many employment opportunities will be available in design, manufacturing, training, supply chain management, packaging, and logistics.
