The Election Commission has announced the assembly by-elections as soon as the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 are completed. Elections are scheduled for July 10 in seven states across the country. As a result, elections will take place wherever they are. Government offices such as schools, colleges, offices, factories, and businesses will remain closed. According to the Election Commission's instructions, this leave will be paid. Neither government offices nor private-sector entrepreneurs will be able to deduct money on this day. Voters registered in the states will be granted special paid leave in government, semi-government, and industrial units. Apart from this, there is also a provision of special casual leave for the voters of these assembly constituencies who are working in other places.

According to the Election Commission of India, elections will be held on 10 July for 13 assembly seats in Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. The counting of votes for these assembly seats will be done on 13 July. Due to this, there will be a holiday in all these areas. For this, the Election Commission has already issued guidelines.

By-elections will be held on July 10 in three assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh, Dehra, Hamirpur, and Nalagarh. Voting will be held in these three areas on this day. In view of this, the government has ordered paid leave for the employees of all departments, boards, corporations, educational institutions, and industrial units. Daily wage employees will also get leave on this day.

Due to the by-election in the Jalandhar assembly constituency of Punjab, a holiday has also been declared for the people of this area. Along with this, Himachal Pradesh has also declared a holiday for the registered voters of Punjab serving in Una, Kangra, Chamba and Solan districts of Himachal Pradesh. Not only this, due to the by-election in the Badrinath and Mangalore assembly constituencies of Uttarakhand, a special paid holiday has been declared on July 10 for the registered voters of Uttarakhand serving in Sirmaur and Shimla.
