SBI Mutual Fund crossed 8 lakh crore AUM, SIP of this many crores is done every month

SBI Mutual Fund of India's largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) is way ahead of all other mutual fund players. Simply put, SBI's mutual fund is the largest mutual fund.
SBI Mutual Fund has crossed the Asset Under Management (AUM) mark of Rs 8 lakh crore, which means the company is managing a fund of more than Rs 8 lakh crore. The company added Rs 90,000 crore in assets during the first quarter of the financial year, it said.
A top company official has said that considering the current rate of AUM (assets under management) addition, the fund house is expected to reach the Rs 10 lakh crore AUM mark in the next 12 to 18 months.
The mutual fund industry closed May with total assets of Rs 43.2 lakh crore, nearly halving to Rs 59,879.31 crore from Rs 1.24 lakh crore in April, despite a decline in net inflows into open-ended mutual funds, when the industry-wide AUM stood at Rs 41.61 lakh crore.
Let us tell you that due to an AUM of Rs 8 lakh crore, SBI has a total share of 18 percent in the mutual fund market. Of this Rs 8 lakh crore AUM, Rs 5.5 lakh crore is in equity and the rest is in debt.
The fund house sees an average inflow of Rs 2,200 crore in SIP (systematic investment plan) every month. Given the flexibility in investment quantum along with the easy entry and exit option, funds flow into SIPs sometimes.
SBI Funds Management is a joint venture between the country's largest bank State Bank of India and Amundi, the largest European asset manager, and is the investment manager of SBI MNF and SBI Alternative Equity Fund, and SBI Alternative Debt Fund.
