Sanju Samson broke his silence on being ignored and made a big statement on not being selected for the ODI series against Sri Lanka

Sanju Samson made his debut for Team India about a decade ago, but in his roller-coaster international career, this wicketkeeper-batsman has played only 30 T20s and 16 ODIs. Sanju Samson makes a place in Team India by performing brilliantly in domestic cricket and IPL but is not able to take advantage of it. His first international century came off his bat during the last ODI against South Africa, but even then, he was not given a place in the ODI series against Sri Lanka.

It is often seen that Sanju Samson gets a chance against lighter teams in less important formats. If the next tournament is going to be an ODI, he gets a chance in the T20 series; if the next tournament is going to be T20, he gets a place in the ODI team. Though he was selected in the T20 World Cup team due to his excellent performance in IPL 2024, he couldn't get a chance to play due to Rishabh Pant.

Sanju Samson, while answering a question about the selectors ignoring him for the ODI series against Sri Lanka at the inauguration of the Kerala Cricket League recently, said that the performance of the team matters more to him. He just focuses on controlling things in his life. Whenever I am selected, I will go to play. That's all!

He said that ultimately our team is performing well. I am a person who just tries to take things positively. Regarding winning the T20 World Cup, Sanju said that the last 3-4 months have been the best for me. Being a part of the World Cup team is like a dream come true. I wanted to play my last ODI World Cup, but after winning the T20 World Cup, I realized that it was not an easy task.
