In a glimpse of what this season holds, Salman Khan hinted that the contestants will be more explosive than ever, implying that they will need to utilize their heart, intellect, and strength to thrive. Additionally, this edition may introduce a fresh set of rules and regulations, promising a riveting and rule-driven competition.
Notably, 'Bigg Boss 17' takes a unique twist this time around, with the house divided into three separate spaces. The first section, labeled "Dil," is dedicated to the romantically inclined participants. The second dwelling, known as "Dimaag," is reserved for the clever contestants who have earned Bigg Boss's favor. Meanwhile, those possessing "Dum" are assigned to the third residence. This season is poised to encompass bias, favoritism, and a whole lot of entertainment.
Kicking off the contestant introductions, the charismatic Salman Khan unveiled model and actor Mannara Chopra as the first housemate. Mannara, the paternal cousin of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra, made her foray into Bollywood with the film 'Zid.' Salman introduced her by emphasizing her talent, saying, "There are many Chopras in this industry, and now Mannara is here. She's not here because of connections but due to her remarkable talent, especially in South Indian films."
During the introduction, the spotlight turned to Mannara's recent kissing controversy. In response, Mannara clarified, "My director, in a fatherly gesture, kissed me on the cheek after a long time. It was meant to be an innocent expression of affection, but it unexpectedly turned into a viral sensation, prompting me to come to Mumbai to address it."
Mannara selected the "Dil" house as her residence, where she will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the contestants adhere to the rules and expected conduct within the Bigg Boss house.
The second contender to enter the 'Bigg Boss' house was Munawar Faruqui, who revealed that he was previously approached to host the show but the deal fell through due to financial complications. Salman Khan also encouraged Munawar to recite some Shayari during his introduction.
