RRR Award in Golden Globe: Natu-Natu song won the title of Best Original Song

SS Rajamouli's film RRR achieved the feat at the ongoing Golden Globe Awards in the US on Tuesday. The song Naatu Naatu from the film won the Best Original Song Award.
RRR is also involved in the Oscar race. There also the film has been nominated in the Best Original Song category. Apart from RRR, Chello Show has been shortlisted in the Best International category.
Rajamouli along with his co-stars Ram Charan Tej and Jr NTR arrived at the ongoing 80th Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, USA. South Superstar Chiranjeevi described this achievement of RRR as historic. Music composer MM Keeravani received the award. He got emotional while thanking Rajamouli and the cast.
RRR was also nominated in the Best Non-English Language Film category at the Golden Globes. That is, there was the hope of getting another award. But here Argentina 1985 won. In this category, RRR was up against Decision to Leave (South Korea), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany) and Argentina 1985 (Argentina).
Indian film got its first nomination 66 years ago, Gandhi won 5 awards
The first Indian film to be nominated for the Golden Globe Awards was in 1957. Shantaram himself was in the lead role in V Shantaram's film and actress Sandhya played a memorable role with him. The film won an award in the International Film category. This was followed by a nomination for Richard Attenberg's film Gandhi in 1983. The film won 5 Golden Globe Awards as Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor (Ben Kingsley).
In 2009, music director AR Rahman won the Best Original Song Award for Slumdog Millionaire. Apart from this, the film also received Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screen Play Awards. Apart from these, films like Salaam Bombay in 1989 and Monsoon Wedding in 2002 have also been nominated for Golden Globes.
