RR vs CSK: Best captains of this IPL season to face each other again in the next match

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are gearing up to go head-to-head in their upcoming match of the IPL 2023 on April 27. For the second time in this season, Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will be the site for the upcoming match between them. The last game between the two teams was quite a thriller, so this one is sure to be just as exciting! Sandeep Sharma made a crucial contribution when Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 3 runs at Chepauk last match. On Thursday, they have the home edge which puts them in an advantageous position.

It won’t be wrong to say that the IPL face-off between the Royals and the Super Kings will be a balanced one in terms of the strength of the sides. A close head-to-head contest between Chennai and Rajasthan has seen 28 meetings between the two teams, with Chennai leading with 15 wins. But Rajasthan has surprisingly managed to outmatch the former in 13 matches. Having won the first match of the season between these two teams, they will be looking to maintain their lead by taking home another victory on Thursday. With both teams at full strength, it promises to be an exciting game with plenty of fireworks as they battle for bragging rights. The Royals are keen on making up for their previous two losses while the Yellow Army will aim at maintaining their winning streak.

Captain Sanju’s words of encouragement to his team

Recently, Rajasthan Royals shared a video on their Twitter account with Sangakkara and Samson offering some words of encouragement to the team in the wake of their defeat. With an inspirational message, Samson stated, “When you have a couple of losses, or you have those couple of win, you go up and down. But the pattern and style of our team and the style of our franchise is to stay humble. And when we are going high, or we are going low we believe in ourselves. We believe in each and every one of us.”

He also highlighted the importance of working together as a team, “we don’t play for ourselves, we play for our team. Let’s bring back that faith.”

As Rajasthan and Chennai prepare to go head-to-head in Pink City on Thrilling Thursday, both teams have a lot to prove. Revenge is on the line for one while the other is looking to defend their home turf. It's certain that an intense match awaits as each team strives to outclass the other.
