Royal Enfield has unveiled the upcoming flex fuel bike at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. This bike of the company will run not on petrol but on flex fuel. This engine can use an 85% ethanol blend and has a power output of 20 HP and 27 Nm torque. Let us know about it.
Alcohol Base Fuel is another name for Flex Fuel. It is made with sustainable ingredients like corn and sugarcane. The precise amount of ethanol (typically 10% to 85%) can be changed based on regulations and availability.
Regarding its engine, no precise information has been provided. However, a spec sheet released by the company indicates that this upcoming model will be able to run on a mixture of up to 85% ethanol and petrol. It is anticipated that this 350cc engine will be able to run on both fuels. This engine will be able to generate a maximum torque of 27 Nm and 20 HP. There will be a 5-speed gearbox available for the engine.
The automaker has not yet revealed any launch date for the model. But it is expected to arrive sometime next year. It is worth noting that there are many models available in India that can run on E20 petrol (20% ethanol blend).
