Rohit Sharma will be replaced by Yashasvi's opening partner in the Perth Test after KL Rahul and Easwaran failed
AUS A vs IND A: Rohit Sharma may be unavailable due to personal reasons in the opening Test to be played in Perth under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. For this reason, KL Rahul, who was sent for the second match against Australia A, got out for just 4 runs. At the same time, Abhimanyu Easwaran got out for zero.
Rohit Sharma might be unable to play in the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth for personal reasons. As a result, KL Rahul was sent to open for Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second match against Australia A. However, he was dismissed after only four runs in the first innings. Prior to the Australia A tour, Abhimanyu Easwaran, who had hit four hundreds in his previous six first-class matches, was also viewed as Jaiswal's opening partner. He also returned to the pavilion without opening the account on Melbourne's bouncy pitch.
Now the biggest question is that who will be Yashasvi Jaiswal's opening partner if Rohit Sharma is unavailable in the first match of the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy? Now only two weeks are left for the BGT to start and till now no one has any information about this. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Abhimanyu Easwaran were being seen as his replacement, who has failed in the first test on the bouncy pitch of Australia.
Easwaran has been a brilliant scorer in domestic cricket and has disappointed so far. Easwaran, coming out to open in the match against Australia A with KL Rahul, got a golden opportunity at Melbourne Cricket Ground, but he was dismissed on 3 balls without opening the account. The ball he got was so dangerous. This was a short-pitched ball by Michael Neser, almost reaching to the shoulder of Easwaran, and he got caught by Corey. The next one was a good opportunity missed.
He opened for the first match against Australia 'A' but in the second, KL Rahul was brought in as an opener. KL was also selected in the team for the reason that he would open the innings in the India A vs Australia A match, proved correct. But, Scott Boland ended his game in the middle order after just four balls. Just like Easwaran, he bowled a good ball which straightened a bit from the fourth stump and took the edge of Rahul's bat. In that way, KL Rahul could score only four runs facing just four balls.
