The Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza combination is dominating the box office once more. The Marathi movie Ved, which also serves as Riteish's directorial debut, is having an unheard-of run at the box office. The movie has been able to keep up a good momentum at the ticket counter. According to reports, the movie has reportedly made a little over Rs 18 Cr in less than a week.

The movie starring Genelia and Riteish had a bad day on Wednesday, but it still managed to draw in its fair share of viewers. Initial trade estimates indicate that the movie made over Rs 2 Cr. The movie's overall budget now stands at around Rs 18 Cr. The movie has been performing remarkably well. Film trade expert Taran Adarsh shared information about the movie's box office receipts on Twitter "The Marathi movie Ved keeps on winning. On Day 5, trends are EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD; in fact, Day 5 is HIGHER than Day 1. This one isn't going anywhere soon... Fri. 2.25, Sat. 3.25, Sun. 4.50, Mon. 3.02, and Tue. 2.65 million. Overall: 15.67 crore."

In addition to the on-screen chemistry between Riteish and Genelia, Salman Khan makes a small appearance in the movie. The celeb recorded a song in Ved.
In addition, Genelia makes her Marathi cinema debut. Genelia first mentioned that she would be making her Marathi debut with Ved in December of last year. The actress had shared a video along with the message, "Have been lucky to be part of movies in so many different languages and receive love and respect from everyone.
