This year's Republic Day Parade will be an incredible feat of bravery and strength, with a significant emphasis on the power of women. A sneak peek of this was available on Tuesday during the parade's full dress rehearsal on the dusty path. The current date of the demonstration is January 26.

For the first time, a contingent of women soldiers of Delhi Police, women officers of the Army and women personnel associated with medical services were seen parading. Similarly, for the first time in a cultural program, 1,500 women folk dance artists made people applaud with their dance.

Fighter planes from Sukhoi, Jaguar, and other manufacturers did aerial acrobatics. There are thirty tableaus in all, and each one evokes a sense of courage and strength that extends from the ground to the sky. The Uttar Pradesh tableau features an incredible, faith-filled image of Shri Ram Lalla.

Muria Darbar has also been shown in the tableau of Chhattisgarh, the Bastar people's primitive parliament. The Rajasthani tableau will feature both puppetry and folk dance. The Ministry of External Affairs' tableau showed how the G-20 was successfully organised.

This time the parade on Republic Day will be different in many respects. This time the parade will not be led by a contingent from the Defense Ministry but by a contingent of a hundred women equipped with ancient musical instruments like conch, drums and damru.
