Relief for SpiceJet, the airline is out of DGCA monitoring system

SpiceJet has been removed from its monitoring regime by the DGCA. Last year, the regulator decided to put the airline under monitoring process due to frequent malfunctions in its planes. During this, 23 SpiceJet aircraft have been inspected by the DGCA. After this the operation of the airline will be normal.

Relief for SpiceJet, the airline is out of DGCA monitoring system

There was relief news for the aviation company Spice Jet on Tuesday. The airline has been taken out of the enhanced surveillance regime. After this, Spice Jet will be able to conduct its operations like any other airline. The regulator had decided to bring the airline under an enhanced monitoring regime due to the persistent problems faced by it.
It was informed by a senior official that the DGCA has decided to take SpiceJet out of the enhanced surveillance regime. Also said that due to accidents in monsoon last year, it was decided to bring it under enhanced monitoring system.
As part of the enhanced surveillance system, 51 spot checks have been carried out on SpiceJet's fleet of Boeing 737 and Bombardier DHC Q-400 aircraft at 11 locations across the country. A total of 23 aircraft have been inspected.
On behalf of the official, it was further said that the right steps have been taken by SpiceJet regarding maintenance and it is as per the guidelines of DGCA. Therefore, it has been decided to exclude SpiceJet from the enhanced surveillance regime.
Earlier on July 11, there was a report which said that the DGCA has given a report on the enhanced surveillance system of SpiceJet. However, any such report was denied by SpiceJet. It was said that this information is absolutely wrong. The airline has not received any information in this regard from the DGCA.
After this news, the stock of SpiceJet has seen a boom. The stock was trading 2.91 percent higher at Rs 30.41 per share at 12:40 PM. Today the stock opened at 29.70. SpiceJet scrip touched a high of Rs 31 and a low of Rs 29.40 during the day's trade.
