Reliance Jio released Q1 results, company's profit increased by 12 percent

The country's largest telecom company Reliance Jio today released the results of the first quarter of FY 2024. According to the results, the net profit of the company has increased by 12 percent to Rs 4863 crore. In the same period last year, Reliance Jio earned a net profit of Rs 4335 crore. Reliance Jio released Q1 results, company's profit increased by 12 percent

The country's largest telecom company Reliance Jio has released the results of the first quarter of FY24 today. According to the result, there has been a jump of 12 percent in the net profit of the company.
Jio said in a filing today that it reported an increase of over 12 percent in net profit to Rs 4,863 crore in the first quarter. In the same period a year ago, Reliance Jio had earned a net profit of Rs 4,335 crore.
Reliance Jio's total income during the reporting quarter rose to Rs 24,127 crore from Rs 21,995 crore a year ago.
In addition, revenue from operations increased by 9.9 percent to Rs 24,042 crore from Rs 21,873 crore in the June 2022 quarter.
Recently Reliance Jio has launched four new exciting postpaid family plans - Jio Plus. These plans are available for free for the first month. As per a press release, the total monthly charges for four post-paid connections for four family members would be Rs 696 only.
According to the company, the starting amount for this Jio Plus monthly family plan will be Rs 399 per month and additional three add-on connections will be available at Rs 99 per SIM. Thus, the total monthly charges for four postpaid connections for a family of four would be Rs.696 (Rs.399 + Rs.99 x 3).
The effective monthly charge for one family member will be Rs 174 per SIM, the company said in a release. There are other benefits under the new postpaid plan as well. Jio said that family connection holders can share data with other family members and there will be no daily data limit.
New users can also avail of free OTT applications like Netflix, Amazon, JioTV, and JioCinema, mobile numbers with premium features of their choice.
