In the case related to the blast in Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe, NIA brought two accused to the spot for inspection. The police officer gave this information. During the investigation of the cafe blast, the NIA has conducted extensive searches in more than 29 places across the country.
"An NIA team probing the Rameswaram cafe blast visited the cafe this morning to inspect the spot along with two accused as part of its internal investigation into the case," a police source said. The inspection was carried out amid heavy police presence deployed outside the cafe and barricades were also put up in the vicinity.
According to officials, the NIA had taken over the case on March 3, following which it arrested two key accused - mastermind Adbul Mathin Ahmed Taha and Musavir Hussain Shajib (the perpetrator of the attack) - on April 12 from their hideout in Kolkata where they were living under assumed identities.
The duo, along with co-accused Maaz Munir Ahmed and Muzammil Sharif, a resident of Khalsa in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, have already been arrested by the NIA in connection with the bomb blast at the cafe in the city's Brookfield area, which left 10 people injured.
