Rajasthan SI recruitment will be canceled, SOG sent proposal to the government; 70 people arrested
Rajasthan SI Exam: After the arrests and growing controversy in the Rajasthan Police SI recruitment paper leak case, a decision to cancel the exam can be taken soon. Rajasthan Police Headquarters has sent a proposal to the Rajasthan government regarding the cancellation of the SI recruitment exam and it is expected that the government will take a final decision on it. According to Jagran, this proposal has been sent to the government through Director General of Police UR Sahu.
Accordingly, Police Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment-2021 scheduled in Rajasthan has now been canceled. An agreement to this effect was reached among Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Anand Kumar, and Director General of Police UR Sahu.
It had come to the fore that former member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission - RPSC Ramu Ram Raika, who was arrested on Sunday night, had given the papers to his son and daughter six days ago.
Following the paper leak scandal in recruitment tests, cheating at Exam Centres, and asking dummy candidates to sit in place of the originals getting fully exposed, even the Special Operation Group has forwarded a proposal to the government to cancel the recruitment.
Meanwhile, SOG has arrested a suspended member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission-RPSC Babulal Katara from Jaipur Central Jail on a production warrant in the teacher recruitment paper leak case. Police will be taking Katara and Raika for face-to-face interrogation.
Additional Director General of SOG VK Singh says that Raika has said in interrogation that the paper with which his daughter Shobha and son Devesh passed was given to him by Katara. Katara was a member of RPSC at the time of the examination.
A total of 70 people have been arrested so far in the fraud of police sub-inspector recruitment. Among them, 42 are trainee sub-inspectors who were undergoing training at the Police Academy in Jaipur after passing the examination.
According to Additional Director General of SOG VK Singh, Shobha and Devesh, who were arrested from the Police Academy on Sunday morning, had told that their father Ramu Ram Raika had provided the papers six days before the exam so that they could prepare well.
Raika knew that his children were weak, so he made them prepare for six days. After the arrest, when the same paper was asked to be solved by these two, they could not even score enough marks to pass.
