Rajasthan: The roof of an under-construction building collapsed in Rajsamand, Rajasthan. During this, about 13 workers were trapped under the debris in the accident. Out of these two died on the spot and the other two workers died during treatment in the hospital. At the same time, five injured have been admitted to Rajsamand District Hospital and another has been sent to Udaipur District Hospital.

The roof of an under-construction building collapsed late Monday night in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. During this, four workers died and six others were injured in the accident.

Rajsamand District Officer Dr. Bhanwar Lal said that a community building of the Meghwal community was being constructed in the Khamnor area. Late Monday night, 13 workers were working there when the roof collapsed.

Bhanwar Lal said that 13 workers were buried under the debris of the roof, out of which two died on the spot, while two died during treatment.

He said that five injured have been admitted to Rajsamand District Hospital, while another has been taken to Udaipur District Hospital due to critical condition.

According to Lal, the deceased has been identified as Kalu Lal, Shanti Lal, Bhagwati Lal, and Bhanwar Lal.

According to the information received, this tragic accident took place in Teamela village of Rajsamand district. Where RCC roof was laid three days ago during the construction of the community building of Meghwal Samaj. This terrible accident happened due to the sudden collapse of this roof.

Villagers said that 13 workers working there went to check the roof at around 11 pm on Monday night. Meanwhile, the entire roof collapsed and fell down. Due to this, all the workers were buried under the debris there.

During the incident, the roof collapsed and caused chaos among the workers and their families at the spot. Due to this, there was panic among the villagers. The villagers immediately informed the police administration about the matter. On receiving the information, Rajsamand District Collector Bhanwarlal and SP Manish Tripathi reached the spot, where the administration first tried to take out the workers with the help of a JCB machine, but they did not succeed.

After this, the SDRF team was called. The workers could be taken out in the rescue operation that lasted for 5 hours. In this accident, 13 workers were buried under the roof, out of which four workers died, while the condition of 9 workers still remains critical. The deceased workers are Kalu Lal Meghwal, Shantilal Meghwal, Bhagwati Lal Meghwal, and Bhanwar Lal Meghwal.

More than half a dozen JCBs were called to remove the debris and a drilling machine was called to break the roof. In this way, the rescue operation was started at 11 pm, in which 3 people were immediately taken out safely by breaking the roof. 4 people died in the accident and 6 injured who were later rescued were admitted to Govardhan Government District Hospital in Nathdwara. The rescue operation was completed at around 3 am. All the people buried under the roof in the accident are residents of Balai Basti of Chiklavas of Saanyon Ka Kheda Panchayat.
