In June, rain-related deaths were reported in approximately seven districts of Maharashtra. According to government data, 14 people died as a result of rain-related incidents. All of these deaths occurred in just two weeks of June, with 11 of them caused by lightning strikes. According to the preliminary report prepared by the Divisional Commissioner's Office, four people have died in the last two days in the Parbhani and Hingoli districts.

The report of the Divisional Commissioner's Office said that all these deaths have occurred in seven out of eight districts of Marathwada. The four people who died in the last two days include a 14-year-old boy and a 40-year-old woman. While 11 out of 14 people were struck by lightning, two people died due to drowning in flood water. One person died due to the collapse of a cowshed. However, no accident has been reported in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar of Marathwada.

According to the Jagran, the Latur district has had the highest number of deaths at four, while three people each have died in Parbhani and Nanded districts. At the same time, one person each has died in four other districts - Jalna, Hingoli, Beed, and Dharshiv. Apart from the loss of life, a total of 251 cattle have died due to natural disasters in all eight districts of Marathwada since June 1. Of these, 99 cattle have died in the last two days.
