Railway: The Railway Recruitment Board has released a total of 9,970 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot posts. For this, interested applicants can apply from 12 April to 11 May. Candidates must be 10th pass before applying for these posts.

A golden chance has come for the youth preparing for a job in Indian Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board released an advertisement to recruit Assistant Loco Pilot posts. In this recruitment drive, 9,970 posts will be filled in 21 Zonal Railway Boards spread all over the nation. The online form submission will begin on 12 April 2025 and will continue until 11 May 2025. Previously its form submission was to begin on 10 April 2025. Candidates will be able to apply by going to rrbapply.gov.in. In-depth notification about this recruitment may be released in one or two days' time.

The Railway Recruitment Board has announced 9,970 Assistant Loco Pilot posts in total. Applicants who are interested can apply from 12 April to 11 May. Prior to applying to these posts, candidates should be 10th pass and should hold an ITI certificate in the respective trade from any recognized institute or the candidate should possess an engineering diploma or degree from any recognized institute.

The candidates should be maximum 30 years and minimum 18 years on 01/07/2024. However, relaxation in age shall be given to OBC, SC/ST and others under rules. Rs 500 will be charged from General and OBC candidates to apply against these posts. But the fee payable by SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen/Economically Weaker Sections will be Rs 250.

The candidates who are interested can make an application on the RRB official website. The RRB link will vary depending on the zone, and thus the candidate will need to proceed to the RRB site in his zone. The candidate will need to undergo 4 processes to be selected. They are CBT-1 (Preliminary Computer Based Test), CBT-2 (Main Exam), CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test), Document Verification and Medical.

In the notice, RRB has also said that youth between 18-30 years will be able to apply for this recruitment. Candidates should verify their primary details using Aadhaar while filling the online application so that inconvenience and additional delay caused by special detailed scrutiny at each stage of the recruitment process for non-Aadhaar verified applications can be avoided. For successful verification using Aadhaar, the name and date of birth in Aadhaar should be updated to match 100 percent with the full name and date of birth available in the 10th class certificate. Similarly, before filling the application, it should be updated with new photo and new biometric (fingerprint and iris).

According to the information, there will be these stages in the selection process. The first stage will be CBT (Computer Based Test), the second stage will be CBT, and the third will be Computer Based Aptitude Test and then document verification. Two-stage examination (First Stage CBT and Second Stage CBT) will be common for recruitment to ALP posts. Only the candidates successful in the first stage CBT will be called for the second stage CBT. After passing the second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT) will have to be given. There will be negative marking in both the first and second stages. One-third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will be no negative marking in the Computer Based Aptitude Test.

According to the information, in the first stage, the computer based written examination will be of 1 hour in which 75 questions will be asked. To qualify the exam, unreserved category candidates will have to score 40 percent, OBC candidates 30 percent, SC 30 percent and ST candidates 25 percent marks. You have to score minimum marks in this test otherwise you will be stopped here, you cannot participate in the process further. In this, you will be asked questions related to Maths, Reasoning, General Science, GK / Current Affairs.

According to the information, candidates who qualify the first stage exam will be able to sit in the second stage. This exam will be of 2 hours 30 minutes. The paper will be divided into two parts. Part A and Part B. 90 minutes will be given for Part A and it will have 100 questions. To qualify this also, unreserved category candidates will have to score 40%, OBC candidates 30%, SC 30% and ST candidates 25% marks. Questions related to Maths, Reasoning, General Science, GK / Current Affairs will be asked in Part A. There will be 1 hour to write Part B. The total number of questions in this will be 75. To qualify Part B, candidates of all categories will have to score 35% marks. Questions from trade syllabus will come in Part B. Third Phase: Candidates who have performed well in Part A of the second phase and qualified in Part B will be called for this. In this phase, candidates from all categories will have to score at least 42 marks, there will be no relaxation of any kind. The last phase will be document verification.
