'Rahul Dravid has to win the World Cup', Gambhir angry with Rohit Sharma's statement, said - I don't understand...

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir often remains in the headlines for his statements. Recently, Gambhir has expressed his displeasure over a statement of Indian team captain Rohit Sharma. Actually, Rohit had said before the World Cup final that the team wanted to win this World Cup for coach Rahul Dravid.

Rahul Dravid was the vice-captain of the Indian team in 2003. Then Australia defeated India in the final. After this, he was the captain of the team in the 2007 World Cup, when the team was eliminated in the league stage itself. In such a situation, Rohit Sharma wanted to fulfill his dreams as well as theirs.

While fans praised this statement of Rohit, Gambhir did not like it. Gambhir said that every player and coach wants to win the World Cup, but everyone should first win the World Cup for the country before any individual.

In Rohit's statement, Gambhir said in an interview, 'Everyone wants to win the World Cup, but I still do not understand why people say this every time. This happened in 2011 also. When you say that you want to win the World Cup for a particular person, then it is wrong. It doesn't matter who that man is.

Gambhir further said, 'You try to win the World Cup for your country. If you feel something for a particular man, don't say it publicly. It is very important for anyone to win the World Cup for the country. A similar question was asked to me in 2011 when I said that I wanted to win the World Cup for the country. I always bat for the country.
