Qatar women's football team disappeared after 2014, former players working as insurance agents

Football World Cup is going on in Qatar. Everyone is also praising its successful event, but there are still some things that Qatar does not have answers to. When Qatar won the World Cup in 2010, it talked about having both women's and men's football teams in the country.
Qatar had claimed that it wanted to promote women's football in the country. According to the plan, the Education City Stadium, which is being used in the current World Cup, is to be used by the women's team after the World Cup, but looking at the statistics of the last few years, the existence of Qatar's women's football team is missing.
The team has not played an official international match since April 2014. Despite being a national team, the team has only 116 followers on social media. The team is not even mentioned on the official website of the association. The situation is such that players like Shaima and Suad Salim, who once played on this team, have to work as insurance agents.
The Qatar women's national football team came into existence in 2009. At the same time, Qatar was preparing to stake claim to host the 2022 World Cup. In 2010, Qatar's women's team played its first international match against Bahrain in the Arabia Women's Cup, where it suffered a 17–0 defeat. After this, the team was also defeated by Palestine and Syria.
In December 2010, Qatar got to host the World Cup. The team's performance improved during the 2013–14 season under the coaching of former German player Monika Staub. The team did not win a single match, but gave a tough fight to a strong opponent like Maldives, reducing the margin of defeat.
However, Staub was fired in 2014 after saying that the team needed a male and Arabic-speaking coach. According to Staub, she has no idea where the Qatari women's team has disappeared in the last eight years. According to former player Shaima, perhaps because of poor performance, the association stopped paying attention to him. At the same time, Saleh, who played in the team at the age of 15, is 23 years old and is studying law.
