Meanwhile, Achu Oomman, the younger daughter of the late Oomman Chandy, has lodged a complaint with the cyber police regarding the alleged cyber attacks against her. On Monday, a person from Thiruvananthapuram had posted derogatory remarks on his Facebook account. He has filed a complaint regarding this. The complaint states, "The accused has knowingly and with malicious intent to defame Achu Oommen, have lied to the public and thereby spread untrue, false and slanderous allegations against the complainant that he and his late father are corrupt."
At the same time, Achu Oman had condemned the alleged cyber attacks against him in the Puthupalli by-election, saying that all this is to divert attention from the current issues of corruption and price rise in Kerala. She said that she was working as a content creator in the fashion and travel sector for a few years. His photographs taken during this period were misused on social media for vested interests with a deliberate intention to malign his father's reputation.
On the other hand, the election campaign has intensified in the Puthupalli by-election. Voting will be held here on 5 September. In this, some online media groups have made the candidates and their close relatives and property and private life a topic of discussion.
Achu Oommen's brother Chandy Oommen has been made the Congress-UDF candidate in Puthupalle.
