Promotional Tourism Roadshow in Bharatpur on 23 June
It is to be recalled that the three roadshows of RDTM were held in Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur. Now, the fourth roadshow is being held in Bharatpur.
Jaipur, 22 June: Ahead of the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), scheduled to be held from 14-16 July in Jaipur, a promotional roadshow is being organized in Bharatpur on Friday, 23 June. The event will be held at Laxmi Vilas Palace in Bharatpur at 3.30 pm and is being jointly organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism in Rajasthan (FHTR). The roadshow will be attended by Minister of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Mr Vishvendra Singh; Principal Secretary Tourism, Ms Gayatri Rathore; President of FHTR, Mr Apurv Kumar; Laxmi Vilas Palace Bharatpur, Mr. Deepraj Singh; Secretary General, FHTR, Mr. Mohan Singh Mertia; President, RATO, Mr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, among others.
It is to be recalled that the three roadshows of RDTM were held in Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur. Now, the fourth roadshow is being held in Bharatpur.
The President of FHTR, Mr Apurv Kumar, informed that Jaipur will host the third edition of RDTM 2023 which will boost and promote Rajasthan as a tourism destination. It will put the spotlight on Rajasthan, and showcase that the State is ready to welcome tourists from across the country. He added that this year the theme of RDTM is ‘Sustainable Tourism’. The roadshow will offer a glimpse into what awaits travel and tour operators at the mega travel mart.
In addition to the Department of Tourism and FHTR, the roadshow will also witness the presence of stakeholders of various tourism and hospitality organizations of the state such as the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operations (RATO). During the roadshow, there will be presentations and short film screenings highlighting the diverse facets of the tourism of Rajasthan. The initiatives taken by the Department of Tourism such as the recently launched Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy, 2022, Guest House scheme, Revised Homestay (PG) scheme, Rajasthan Rural Tourism Investment Scheme, Revised Heritage Guidelines will also be highlighted.
It is to be recalled that RDTM will provide a platform for all the hoteliers, travel agents/tour operators of Rajasthan to showcase their products to travel agents from all across India and facilitate structured B2B meetings. The first two editions of RDTM have been a major success inspiring the department to plan its third edition. The second edition of the RDTM last year witnessed over 5000 B2B meetings across 2 days. Almost 200 sellers exhibited over 800 properties, agencies and experiences. Apart from the knowledge sharing sessions, the mart was followed by 4 FAM trips for over 60 travel agents. The event gave a major fillip to domestic tourism.
