Priyanka Chopra targets Bollywood casting: Bolin – films should be given on the basis of merit, not by looking at politics and drama
Global star Priyanka Chopra will soon be seen in Citadel. Meanwhile, in an interview given to the media, he talked about Bollywood casting. During this, Priyanka said that the casting of actors in Bollywood should be done on the basis of merit and not politics and drama.
Even before this, Priyanka talked about politics in Bollywood. During this, he told how the industry had sidelined him, after which Priyanka decided to leave Bollywood and pursue a career in music.
In an interview given to Indian Express, Priyanka said- 'Casting in Bollywood should be done on the basis of talent and not according to politics. A lot has changed in the Hindi film industry in the past. Many talented people now come out of the industry.
Recalling her early days, Priyanka said- When I started my career, the atmosphere was completely different. Casting work should be the work of the casting director instead of politics and drama. He said that there should be a conversation about the opportunity and the workplace.
Priyanka further said – There has been a lot of change in the functionality of Bollywood because the actors of the previous generation did not struggle for it. Casting should not be controlled by any group and it should be done on the basis of talent. People should talk about this.
Talking about Priyanka Chopra's work front, her international series Citadel is going to release soon. Russo Brothers approached Priyanka with the idea of Citadel 5 years ago. It will premiere on 28 April. Apart from this, Priyanka will soon be seen in Farhan Akhtar's directorial film Jee Le Zara. In this film, she will be seen sharing the screen with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif for the first time.
