Private photo went viral, news of married woman's suicide came, then the young man also embraced death
Karnataka: A young man and a housewife committed suicide after one of their photos went viral in Hunsur, Mysore district of Karnataka. The police officer gave this information on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Shruti, a 28-year-old married woman, and Murali, 20, both residents of Kalgunij in the city. Murali and Shruti were friends and Murali had also taken a photo with her.

The deceased have been identified as Shruti, a 28-year-old married woman, and Murali, 20, both residents of Kalgunij in the city.
According to the police, Murali and Shruti were friends and Murali had also taken photographs with her. This picture was uploaded on his status and later went viral on social media. After knowing about this, Shruti and Murali's family started fighting over this matter. Fearing a reaction, Shruti hanged herself at her residence and thereafter Murali also committed suicide.
The police do not have clear information on whether they had an affair or not. Both the families have lodged a complaint and counter-complaint at Hunsur police station and the police have started investigating the matter.
