Udaipur News: 145 acres of land will be allotted to the Airports Authority of India for the proposed development and expansion of Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur. In this, 126.1010 acres of private land is to be acquired.

The action is taken for the proposed development and expansion of Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur. It is proposed to acquire private land in the surrounding area to allocate an additional 145 acres of land to the Airports Authority of India. For this, a two-day public hearing will be organized for the stakeholders/landholders of the affected area from December 19.

SDM Mawali Ramesh Sirvi informed that the affected area revenue villages Dabok, Ganoli of Tehsil Mawali, revenue villages Tus Dangiyan, Rawatpura, Tus, and Mandesar district Udaipur's Benaam and Khatedari land is to be acquired in public interest for allotment of additional 145 acres of land to the Airports Authority of India for the development and expansion of Udaipur Airport. Therefore, as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement Act and as per the rules of the state government in this regard, a hearing is to be organized under Social Impact Impact for the acquisition of additional 145 acres of land for the Airports Authority of India for the development and expansion of Udaipur Airport.

Preparations are going on at a fast pace to make flights run internationally from Udaipur soon after the expansion of Maharana Pratap Airport. According to Amar Ujala sources, in the first phase, flights from Udaipur to the Gulf countries is being planned.
