In the pictures, the student and the principal are seen posing in an objectionable manner. Sometimes the student is pulling his principal's saree, and sometimes he is carrying her in his lap. Not only this, the student kissed his principal on the cheek and after this, the principal also kissed his student on the cheek. The principal is also seen behaving romantically with her students.
Chintamani District Education Officer Umadevi visited the school after its photo and video went viral on social media on Thursday. During this time he interrogated fellow teachers, students and kitchen staff who had gone on the picnic. He said, "The pictures that went viral were taken by another student who was making a video of the two. Except the two students and the principal, no other staff or student was aware of the incident."
Education officer Umadevi said the students and staff of the school had gone on an educational tour to Horanadu, Dharmasthala, Yana and other places from December 22 to 25 when the incident took place. As per the recommendation of the BEO, the District Deputy Director of the School Education Department P. Bailanjanappa has issued an order suspending the principal from service pending the departmental inquiry.
