Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Tamil Nadu, met Thiru S. Manikandan, a physically challenged BJP worker, in Chennai. During this, the Prime Minister also took a selfie with Manikandan. Modi posted this selfie on his social media handle and described Manikandan as a proud worker of the party.
The PM shared this selfie on social media on Saturday night and wrote- 'A special selfie... I met Thiru S. Manikandan in Chennai. He is a proud Karyakarta of Erode, working as a Booth President. He is a differently abled person who runs his own shop.
The most encouraging thing is that he donates a significant portion of his earnings to the party. I feel proud to be at a party where people like Manikandan are present. His journey of life, his commitment to our party and our ideology inspire all. I wish him all the best for his future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a tour of Telangana and Tamil Nadu on Saturday. He laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth Rs 11,300 crore in Telangana and Rs 5,200 crore in Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also flagged off one Vande Bharat Express train from both states. PM gifted Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat from Secunderabad in Telangana and Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat at Chennai railway station.
