Droupadi Murmu, who was born on June 20, 1958, is the 15th and current president of India since 2022. She was born into a Santali family and was the first person from the tribal community after Pratibha Patil to hold the office. After working as a teacher for 3 years, she started her political career in 1997, when she was elected as the councilor of the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat. 

On May 18, 2015, she was elected as the governor of Jharkhand. Continuing her political career, she took the oath as the 15th president of India on July 26, 2022. PM Modi greeted President Droupadi Murmu on her 66th birthday, stating, "Her exemplary service and dedication inspire us all, and her journey gives hope to crores of people.".
