President Draupadi Murmu unveiled the new flag and logo to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court. President Draupadi Murmu said on Sunday that efforts need to be made to change the culture of adjournment in the courts to ensure speedy justice. Murmu also released the flag and logo of the Supreme Court during the program organized at Bharat Mandapam.
The new flag and logo were unveiled by President Draupadi Murmu to mark the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court. "Efforts have to be made to change the 'culture of adjournment' in the Courts so as to help in the dispensation of speedy justice," President Draupadi Murmu said on Sunday.
Murmu also released the flag and logo of the Supreme Court during the program organized at Bharat Mandapam. Addressing the valedictory function of the two-day National Conference of District Judiciary, she said pending cases in courts pose a big challenge before "all of us".
She said that all possible efforts should be made to change the culture of adjournments in the court. President Murmu said that it is the responsibility of all the judges of the country to protect justice.
She said that the stress level of common people increases in courts. She referred to the 'Black Court Syndrome' and suggested that it should be studied.
She also expressed happiness over the increase in the number of women judicial officers. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal attended the event.
