President Biden signs same-sex marriage bill, makes it law

US President Biden has given the form of law to the Same-Sex Marriage Bill. He has signed this bill. According to the New York Times report, gay marriage will now be recognized as soon as this bill is signed. In other words, same-sex marriage will not be wrong. In 2015, the Supreme Court banned it across the country.
During this, Biden said – American citizens had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Those who were in favour of equality and justice never gave up and this moment is important for them. It is very rare when Democrats and Republicans come together to make a decision. The enactment of the Same-Sex Marriage Bill is one such opportunity.
US President Joe Biden said that love is love. Every person has the right to love. People can decide for themselves whether to get married and with whom to marry. Biden has said earlier also - 'Love is love' and every citizen living in America has the right to marry the person they love.
In June, the Supreme Court overturned a ruling protecting abortion rights. Since then, people in America feared that same-sex marriage could also be in danger. After which Biden's government brought this bill recognizing same-sex marriage.
The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives in July. The House had decided that the bill would be voted into law, after which it was sent to the Senate on 16 November. On November 30, the Senate passed the bill and sent it to President Biden. On December 14, ie today, Biden signed the Same Sex Marriage Bill and made it a law.

Talking about the legal status of gay marriage, there are 3 types of countries in the world-
First: The country that has allowed same-sex marriage.
Second: Countries where same-sex relationships are allowed, but same-sex marriage is not permitted.
Third: The country where both gay relations and gay marriage are banned.

According to The Guardian's report, homosexuality is not considered a crime in 120 countries, but only 32 countries currently allow marriage between the same sex. This means that there are 88 countries worldwide where same-sex relationships are permitted but same-sex marriage is not. India is also a country in this.
In 2001, the Netherlands was the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. Apart from this, there are 13 countries in the world, including Yemen, and Iran, where leaving aside marriage in same-sex, the death penalty is given even after having a homosexual relationship.
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to recognize same-sex marriage in India as well. The Supreme Court has sought an answer from the government on this. The petition said that not allowing gay marriage is discrimination. This is a violation of the rights of LGBTQ couples. The couple demanded the inclusion of gay marriage in the Special Marriage Act of 1954.
