Maruti Suzuki is soon going to bring its first electric car, Maruti Suzuki eVX. The company says that it will soon launch its upcoming eVX Electric SUV in January 2025. The company has begun its preparations. Maruti has started installing the EV chargers at Nexa outlets. This has made it crystal clear that the company wants to upgrade its charging infrastructure before the launch of eVX. Although announcing this, it has also clarified that the electric SUV would be retailed from Nexa outlets by installing the EV chargers therein.

About the design of Suzuki eVX, the production model may turn out to be pretty different from the concept model. It can get a horizontally-leafed LED light bar at the rear. This electric vehicle will be able to feature a high-mounted stop lamp, shark fin antenna, and a sloped terrace. Outside the car, there can be a raked front windshield, squared-off wheels, and muscular side cladding all hidden inside the warp. The car will run on 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX can feature both single and dual-electric motor setup options. It is being said that it can be reserved for international markets such as Europe and Japan. The eVX will be given a 60 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which will give a driving range of around 500 km. Not only that but it was recently spied during testing, in which a two-spoke steering wheel and dual-screen layout have been seen.

After launch in India, Maruti Suzuki eVX will directly compete against electric SUVs including the upcoming Mahindra XUV700-based electric SUV, Hyundai Creta-based EV, Tata Curve EV, Honda Elevate EV, and Kia Seltos EV. The company is almost certain to launch it at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 scheduled from 17 to 22 January in New Delhi.
