Following a global unveiling of the design sketch, Porsche introduced the Macan EV to the Indian market. There will be two versions available: Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. Porsche will only offer the Macan Turbo, which retails for Rs 1.65 crore ex-showroom, in India. For the new electric SUV, Porsche India is now taking reservations.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of the year.

The Taycan is now the source of inspiration for Macan Electric's design language. The primary headlamp arrangement is now mounted on the bumper, but it has four LED components for the daytime running lamps. With a new set of LED tail lamps that are flat in shape and connected by a lightbar, the back now resembles a coupe.

Now that the interior design resembles that of the Cayenne, it appears more sophisticated. Up to three screens are available to customers, comprising a 10.9-inch infotainment system and a 12.6-inch rotatable instrument cluster. Aside from this, the passenger has access to an optional 10.9-inch touchscreen.

In terms of size, Macan Electric is somewhat larger. In comparison to the ICE version of the Macan, it is 2 mm shorter, 15 mm broader, and 103 mm longer. The Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, jointly developed with Audi, serves as the foundation for the electric vehicle.

The Porsche Macan 4 can produce up to 402 horsepower and 650 Nm of peak torque. It has a top speed of 220 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.2 seconds. This model has a stated WLTP range of 613 kilometres. Using 270kW on an 800V DC system, its 95 kWh battery pack can go from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes.

The Macan, on the other hand, produces a maximum power of 630 bhp and a peak torque output of up to 1,130 Nm in turbo overboost mode. Its top speed is 260 kmph and it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds. The Macan Turbo has a range of 591 km as per WLTP.
