Political uproar continues over animal fat in the prasad of the world-famous Tirupati Venkateswara temple of Andhra Pradesh. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International General Secretary Bajrang Bagda has given a sharp reaction on the matter of adulteration in the prasad of Tirupati temple. He has said that this type of tampering with the sentiments of Hindus has been done deliberately and for a long time. This has caused a wave of anger in the entire Hindu society. Hindu society will no longer tolerate such repeated attacks on the faith of Hindus. In what manner meat of various animals was mixed in the prasad of Lord Tirupati temple, the same was extremely disgusting and intolerable.

VHP International General Secretary Bajrang Bagda demanded an impartial investigation. Further, he subsequently said that Vishwa Hindu Parishad strongly demands that there must be a completely impartial investigation of this incident, and not only should such heinous misdeeds be stopped, but criminal action should be taken against the person or officer responsible for taking or getting such a decision done and he must be punished.

Bajrang Bagda said, "Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been demanding for quite a long time that the government should not have control over the Hindu deity and temples. Those should be under the control of the society and these are supposed to be managed by the society. Government control over the temples invites politics. The prasad is also being adulterated by the appointment of non-Hindu officials there, and we therefore again ask that all places of Hindu worship, temples, and pilgrimage be completely relieved from State control.

Bajrang Bagda also referred to the misuse of temple property. He said, "Under this come a lot of other issues in which property is misused, encroached upon, and also used for non-Hindu purposes." He said, "After the incident with the Tirupati temple, our demand has gotten stronger that government control should end from Hindu temples.".

State Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh expressed surprise over the alleged use of animal fat in Tirupati Prasadam (laddu). "Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala is our most sacred temple. I was surprised to know that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy administration used animal fat instead of ghee in Tirupati Prasadam," he said in a social media pot. On the concurrent, state Congress Chief YS Sharmila asked for a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry to confirm Naidu's claim.
