Police arrested 3 youths who stole diamonds worth Rs 1.5 crore from Mumbai in Banswara
Banswara police have arrested three accused who stole diamonds from Mumbai and fled. All three were detained by stopping the bus at Rajasthan-Gujarat border. Police had received information that the accused were passing through this route by bus, after which a blockade was done and the bus was searched. The stolen diamonds have also been recovered along with the accused.

In this action taken in the Gadhi police station area, police searched the bus and detained the three accused. 220.35-carat diamonds and Rs 77,370 cash were recovered from them. Police say that the accused were trying to take the stolen diamonds to Gujarat.
According to CI Rohit Kumar Singh of Gadhi police station, on Friday night, Head Constable Mahipal Singh received information from an informer that three youths were going to pass by bus with stolen diamonds. Based on the information, a blockade was put up on the Rajasthan-Gujarat border. During this time, a bus from Chamunda Travels was stopped.
During a search, the police arrested three suspicious youths on a moving bus. During interrogation, they were identified as Deepak Parmar, 29, Navdeep, 27, and Sachin 39. All three accused resided in Gujarat. According to police, 220.35-carat diamond(s) and Rs 77370 (dollars) cash were received through a cloth bundle.
When the police asked the accused for documents related to the diamonds and cash, failed to give any proof against the seized recovery. In that case, the police seized the diamonds and cash in view of Section 106 (1) of the Indian Penal Code. The Head Constable Mahipal Singh states that at 9 pm, he got the information that three youths were going to pass through Ratlam Madhya Pradesh, along with the diamonds, and the photographs of the accused were also informed by the informer.
After the preliminary search, buses operating towards Ahmedabad were checked. A person confirmed that the three accused were traveling in a bus to Ahmedabad. The police are currently interrogating the three accused to gather information about the theft incident and other possible accused. Also, detailed information about the case is being obtained by contacting Mumbai Police. According to the police, the estimated market price of the seized diamonds is around Rs 1.5 crore.
