Poco M5 launched in India: 50MP rear camera and 5000mAh battery

Poco company launched its new smartphone Poco M5 in India on Monday (September 5). This is a low-budget phone, whose starting price has been kept at Rs 12,499. The Poco M5 device comes with a Full HD+ screen, which supports a 90Hz screen refresh rate. It has a MediaTek chipset.
The total size of the Poco M5 is 163.99x76.09x8.9mm and weighs 201 grams. The phone comes with a 6.58-inch FHD+ (2400x 1080) screen with support for a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. Its display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Poco M5 comes with Widevine L1 certification. This means that users will be able to watch content on Netflix in 1080p resolution.
MediaTek Helio G99 SoC processor has been given in this phone. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device also comes with a Virtual RAM feature, which can add up to 2GB of RAM by borrowing from the phone's internal storage. The phone has a triple rear camera setup. Which has a 50MP rear camera.
Apart from this, the back cameras of the device include a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the Poco M5 sports an 8MP front-facing shooter. The device packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. The Poco M5 also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
POCO M5 is available in three colours POCO Yellow, Icy Blue and Power Black. The price of the 4GB + 64GB variant of Poco M5 is Rs 12,499. At the same time, its 6GB + 128GB variant will be available for Rs.14,499. The company is also giving a discount of Rs 1500 to ICICI and Axis Bank card users on the phone.
