Prime Minister Narendra Modi did a road show in Guwahati, Assam today i.e. on Tuesday. During this, a large number of people were present on the roadside to see the PM. He welcomed the PM by blowing flowers and gulal. During the roadshow, PM Modi was seen sitting in the front seat of the car.
Actually, PM Modi is on a two-day tour of the Northeast from March 7. Here PM Modi attended the swearing-in ceremony of new Chief Ministers in Meghalaya and Nagaland on Tuesday. After this, he reached Assam, where the PM did a road show. Assam Health Minister Keshav Mahanta told that the PM will attend the cabinet meeting of the state government in the night. During this, the functioning of all the departments can be reviewed.
He told that the PM will leave for Tripura at 9:40 am on Wednesday. Here he will take part in the swearing-in ceremony of the Manik Saha government. Saha has been declared the leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Tripura.
Neiphiu Rio in Nagaland and Conrad Sangma in Meghalaya have taken oaths as CM. Neiphiu Rio took oath as CM for the fifth time at 1.45 pm, while the swearing-in ceremony of Sangma Conrad took place at 11 am. Sangma Conrad has become the CM of Meghalaya for the second time. PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were present at the swearing-in ceremony of both.
Two deputy CMs have been appointed in both states. In Meghalaya, NPP Sniawbhalang Dhar and Prestone Tensong have been sworn in as deputy CMs. In Nagaland, TR Zeliang and Yanthungo Patton have been made deputy CMs.
