On August 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting with BJP officials across the country. It will consider membership campaigns and strengthening of the party at the root level. Other than PM Modi, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Party's National President JP Nadda, will also be present in the meeting. After the meeting, the party membership campaign can begin in September.

Besides, the organizational elections of the party in states will begin, and a new national president is to be elected in January. Sources in the party said that JP Nadda can continue to be the officiating national president till organizational elections are completed.

This time, according to the party's sentiment, it is in no hurry to appoint an executive president and is hardly interested in bringing a national president through organizational elections. It is believed that detailed discussions were held regarding organizational change in the meeting of senior BJP leaders with RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and BJP in-charge Arun Kumar.

Amit Shah, JP Nadda, as well as organisational general secretary BL Santosh, were also present in the meeting held at Rajnath Singh's house on Sunday. The meeting of senior RSS and BJP leaders is being considered important before the coordination meeting of the heads of RSS affiliate organizations in Kerala from 31 August to 2 September. The lack of coordination between RSS and BJP is considered a major reason behind not getting the expected results in the Lok Sabha elections. Obviously, now emphasis is being laid on coordination from both BJP and RSS.
