The Central Investigation Agency CBI is going to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of its establishment on 3rd April. PM Narendra Modi will be the chief guest in this program. The program will be held at 12 noon at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. In the program, Modi will also inaugurate the new buildings of the branch offices of the CBI in Meghalaya's capital Shillong, Maharashtra's Pune and Nagpur.
CBI was established on 1 April 1963. CBI is now going to enter the social media network Twitter for the first time. Will start PM Modi's Twitter handle. With this, the investigating agency will also get a lot of input and complaints from the common people through social media.
The CBI made its first appearance on Twitter during the Interpol General Assembly in October last year. A handle with the iconic blue tick was then launched to disseminate news about the event.
The launch of the Twitter handle will help the probe agency in cracking down on corruption. Common people will also be able to convey their views directly to the investigating agency easily and sit at home or in the office through social media. The agency is trying to strengthen its social media branch in the coming days.
