Gujarat: After reaching Ekta Nagar, about 200 km from Ahmedabad, PM Modi launched several new projects. These include a sub-district hospital, a smart bus stop, a four-megawatt solar power project, and two ICU-on-wheels.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday arrived at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district of Gujarat. On this 2-day visit to Gujarat, PM Modi laid foundation stone and foundation stone of various projects and tourist places, worth Rs 284 crore. Apart from this, he will take part in National Unity Day celebration also. The day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31.

After visiting Ahmedabad 200 km from there, Modi launched a plethora of new projects at Ekta Nagar. Arrayed in this regard include a sub-district hospital, smart bus stops, 4 MW solar power project, and two ICU-on-wheels. Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 50-bed sub-divisional hospital built at the cost of Rs 22 crores here. The hospital has a trauma center, gynecological operating theatre, mini operating theatre, CT scan facility, ICU, labor room, physiotherapy ward, medical store, and ambulance.

Apart from this, he also inaugurated ten smart bus stops and 10 pick-up stands for tourists, car charging points, and a running track for the State Reserve Police Force in Ekta Nagar. As part of his initiatives toward renewable energy, the Prime Minister also inaugurated a 4 MW solar power project developed at a cost of Rs 23.26 crore. On the occasion, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of a sewage treatment plant worth Rs 75 crore at Ekta Nagar, which would cater to the sewage needs from around 4,000 homes, government rooms, and other hospitality venues. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Bonsai Garden with a vision to promote sustainable development and biodiversity conservation.
