Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences on social media X (formerly Twitter) and expressed confidence in providing all possible help. He wrote, "Deeply saddened by the loss of life and property caused by the earthquake in Morocco. My thoughts are with the people of Morocco in this tragic moment."

He wrote, "Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover as soon as possible. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time."

It is noteworthy that strong earthquake tremors were felt in Marrakesh, Morocco on Friday night (September 8). According to the information from the country's Interior Ministry, the intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.8. There has been a lot of loss of life and property due to this terrible earthquake. Morocco's Interior Ministry has confirmed that 296 people have died so far due to this earthquake.

More than 153 people have been injured due to this devastation, and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to information received from the ministry, most of the damage occurred outside cities and towns. The epicenter of this earthquake was 71 kilometers away from Marrakesh at a depth of 18.5 kilometers.
