Platinum Jubilee of SMS Medical College: Many former students including Farooq Abdullah will be included; a life science exhibition will be held
Sawai Mansingh Medical College, Rajasthan's largest and one of the top medical colleges in North India, is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee on the completion of 75 years. On this occasion, many programs are being organized by the Medical College this year. On this occasion, Life Science Exhibition is being organized from 20 to 28 February. In this 9-day exhibition, stalls will be set up by 44 departments of the Medical College, on which the doctors and experts present there will answer all the questions related to medical science and diseases.
Medical College Principal Dr. Rajeev Bagrahatta told that we have sent invitations to all the students from the first batch to the present batch to participate in this ceremony. It will include many well-known doctors and health experts from India and abroad, who were once students of SMS Medical. In this, the successful journey of those doctors will be shared with the present medical students and students of other schools and colleges attending the exhibition, so that they can be motivated towards medical science. He told that many well-known personalities including Farooq Abdullah, Bishan Sind Baidi, Vishwanath Anand, and NMC Chairman Dr. Suresh Sharma will also participate in this exhibition.
On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Gupta, secretary of the organizing committee, told that the main purpose of celebrating this platinum jubilee is to honour all the students of the old batch who have become big experts somewhere or have become well-known doctors in the country and abroad. There is also an interaction between them and the current students. He told that apart from this exhibition, we have organized many events including singing and dancing, a cycle rally, a chess competition, literature festival on different days.
Co-ordinator of the 9-day Life Science Exhibition Dr. Monika Jain said that more than 2500 students from various schools and colleges of Jaipur have registered to participate in this exhibition. He told that the entry of the common man has also been kept in this exhibition, for which a fee of Rs 20 has been fixed. He told that the people coming to the exhibition can know all their questions related to diseases, medicines and medical treatment, about which they are confused. A stall will be set up here in the presence of experts from each department, where the present doctors will give this information to those people.
