People of Maharashtra resolved to make NDA candidates win, PM Modi claims before rally in Chandrapur

Before the voting of Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the election campaign of BJP. In this series, PM Modi will address a public rally in Chandrapur, Maharashtra on Monday evening.

Ahead of his rally, PM Modi said in a post on X that the people of Maharashtra have resolved for a landslide victory for the BJP-NDA candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.

He said, "The people of Maharashtra are resolved for a resounding victory of the BJP-NDA candidates in the Lok Sabha elections. Today in Chandrapur, I will get the opportunity to seek the blessings of the people here at 5 pm."

Together, as part of their alliance, the BJP, the Shiv Sena under Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and the NCP under Ajit Pawar are running for office. 24 candidates have been announced by the BJP thus far, with 8 being Shinde and 3 being Ajit Pawar.

Sudhir Mungantiwar of the BJP is running for the Chandrapur Lok Sabha seat against Pratibha Dhanorkar of the Congress. Congress candidate from Chandrapur, Suresh Dhanorkar, won the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. But in May 2023, Suresh Dhanorkar, 47, passed away. This time, his spouse is running for the office thanks to Congress.

On April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, and May 20, Maharashtra will hold its five phases of Lok Sabha elections.
