PCB denies Jason Gillespie's claim of not paying salary, explains why money was not paid
Jason Gillespie: PCB spokesperson said in a statement, "Former head coach Jason Gillespie suddenly left his post without giving four months' notice, which was a clear violation of the terms of the contract. The coaching contract clearly mentioned the notice period applicable to both parties and the coach was fully aware of it.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially responded to the allegation made by former head coach of Pakistan, Jason Gillespie regarding payment of salary dues. PCB has stated that Jason Gillespie abruptly terminated his contract. PCB has stated in its official statement that while both Jason Gillespie and PCB were obligated to give a four-month notice period, the former Australian cricketer left the post early which was against the contract. PCB has stated in its statement that the board denies Jason Gillespie's allegation of payment of salary dues.
A PCB spokesperson said in a statement, "Former head coach Jason Gillespie suddenly left his post without giving four months' notice, which was a clear violation of the terms of the contract. The coaching contract clearly mentioned the notice period applicable to both parties and the coach was fully aware of it."
It is worth noting that the former Australian fast bowler was appointed as the Test coach of the Pakistan cricket team in April last year on a two-year contract. However, he resigned from his post in December of the same year, just before the Pakistan cricket team's Test series against South Africa, in less than eight months as a coach.
A few months after resigning from the post, Jason Gillespie accused Aaqib Javed of campaigning for the coaching role in all formats. Gillespie wrote on social media, "This is ridiculous. Aaqib was clearly underestimating Gary and me while campaigning to become the coach in all formats. He is a joker."
The former Australian fast bowler had said that he is still waiting for some remaining salary from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). They still have to approve the salary. He also wrote that Gary Kirsten and I were sold the dream of forming a team. After losing one match, that dream is thrown out the window.
