Due to a mistake by Google, crores of Windows users have gotten into trouble. Due to a bug in Google Chrome, the passwords of 1.5 crore Windows users have disappeared. This incident happened on 24-25 July. Due to this bug in Chrome, medical, airlines and banks have also been affected.

This bug was in the M127 version of Google Chrome which is for Windows. Mac users have not been affected by this bug. Due to this bug, people were not able to use their saved passwords also. Many people were not able to see their passwords.
This bug was present for about 18 hours and affected about 1.5 crore users. Google has apologized for this bug and has immediately released a new update. Google has also advised people to restart the Chrome browser.
This flaw in Google Chrome is raising questions about the dependence on online password managers. Most users trust and use online passwords and autofill, but when these tools fail at the time of need, it becomes a problem.
