There are only three days left for the Olympic 2024 Games to begin and fans are eagerly waiting for this mega event. But for the host country France, this event is not going as expected. Hosting an event like the Olympics is often good for any country in terms of promoting tourism, which directly benefits it financially. But, the Paris Olympics seems to be proving to be a loss deal for France.

France is a country whose sports culture is very rich, especially in football. The French football team has been a two-time world champion. Apart from this, France has dominated in many other sports. It was expected that the Olympics would benefit the country financially. But, all the estimates are proving to be wrong.

According to Patrika, Air France may suffer a loss of 180 million euros i.e. about 16.39 billion rupees in the current quarter. It is believed that tourists are avoiding traveling to France during this time because there will be more crowds than usual in the next two weeks. Despite historical tourist places like the Eiffel Tower, people are not interested in visiting Paris.

This is a dream project for French President Emmanuel Macron, for which a huge amount of Rs 68,318 crore has been spent. But according to a report, this has been the worst season for Paris in terms of tourism. The hotel booking figures are very disappointing. According to the data of a sports travel firm, hotel bookings in Paris have been down by 80 percent compared to the last two Olympics. Despite the hotels reducing their prices drastically, there has been no benefit.
